- Define and differentiate key concepts of confidentiality, privacy, and data security in research.
- Describe the policies, legislation, frameworks, and best practices for research data, emphasizing the responsibilities of researchers and Research Ethics Boards (REBs) in data collection, management, and privacy.
- Identify the key information participants need to be told about their data during the consent process.
- Analyze privacy risks related to research data, personal information, and personal health information (PHI).
